CDC: Food allergy prevalence is rising in the US
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which relied on an affirmative response to the question: ‘During the past 12 months, has your child had any kind of food or digestive allergy?’ in the National Health Interview Survey, food allergy among children aged 0-17 in the US rose from 3.4% in 1997– 1999 to 5.1% in 2009–2011.
