Multiple testers said they were surprised and pleased by Oatly’s texture, which relies on rapeseed oil for mouthfeel and a creamy function rather than traditional thickeners and starches. Rebecca Willaims, who follows a plant-based diet, noted Oatly is “way less chalky than a Soylent” and “thicker” than many nut milks.
