Dannon, Mondelez don’t want you to miss breakfast
Perhaps hoping to appeal to some of the 31 million Americans who reportedly skip breakfast, Mondelez' BelVita Breakfast Biscuits and Dannon's Oikos Greek Nonfat Yogurt joined forces to encourage consumers not to miss the most important meal of the day. The two brands from Mondelez and Dannon are touting the 12 grams of protein from Dannon Oikos and nutritious steady energy from belVita as a delicious pairing to help Americans get more out of morning. The cobranding effort also taps productivity expert Laura Stack as a promotional partner.
“My guiding philosophy is maximum results in minimum time, and this could not be more important than in the morning,” Stack said in a statement. “As someone who’s constantly on-the-go, I’m always on the lookout for quick, convenient breakfast options that help me begin the day on a positive note so I don’t miss a beat. Thanks to this partnership with belVita and Dannon, I know I can take on whatever the day holds.”
belVita Breakfast Biscuits are available in five flavors: Blueberry, Golden Oat, Cinnamon Brown Sugar, Chocolate and Apple. Each individual package of four biscuits is portioned for breakfast and provides 18 to 20 grams of whole grains, 3 grams of fiber and 3 to 4 grams of protein.
Dannon Oikos Nonfat Yogurt is made with a traditional Greek straining process that creates a creamy-thick consistency. It is an excellent source of protein, with twice the amount found in regular low-fat yogurt. It has 0% fat, active yogurt cultures, and 80 to 130 calories per 5.3 ounce serving, depending on the flavor.
