The drink’s manufacturer, Epicurex, is partnering organic and specialty foods distributor UNFI, and the former’s VP of sales, Paul Kilbride, said a larger distribution network was critical for the brand’s success.
“Epicurex and UNFI share a similar mission when it comes to providing all the natural and organic products to our consumers here in the US. That really sealed the deal for us,” he said.
In addition to distribution, UNFI also provides merchandising, marketing and category management, as well as support services at store level, which Kilbride identifies as vital.
“The addition support they provide in terms of merchandising and marketing will ensure that our brand reaches the eyes and ears of customers in our target markets,” Kilbride said.
“We’re convinced that the results will be positive.”
Launched in 2013, COCOZIA is USDA Organic and Kosher certified and non-GMO project verified, and the range will soon include mango, chocolate, coffee and pineapple flavors.
